Account
How do I join Phố Hội?
Open the game page, sign in with your email or a Google account, and create your character: you are in town.
How does signing in with email work?
You enter your email, pass a quick check that you are a person, and receive a six-digit code by mail. The code works for five minutes and allows only a few wrong tries. Phố Hội uses no passwords.
What does the game get when I sign in with Google?
The game receives your name, your verified email address and your profile picture from your Google account to create your account. An email that Google has not verified is refused.
Can I play on more than one device?
Yes. You sign in on each device; if a device has not been in town for about seven days, just sign in again.
Can I delete my account?
There is no delete-account button in the game yet. You can send a request to the privacy address on the Contact page; we will answer and tell you what can be done.
Why can an account be blocked?
Playing unfairly, such as cheating or flooding the chat, can get an account blocked for a while or for good. The town's team can also block an account under the Terms of use.
Playing
Who will I meet in town?
Other players like you. The town also has its familiar faces, always there to greet you, such as the driver of a ride, the boat rower and the bài chòi caller.
What are channels?
The town is split into several channels so it never gets too crowded. You can see which channel is quiet or nearly full and move to another one.
Why was I taken out of the town?
If you step away for a long while, the game asks whether you are still there, and then takes you out to make room for others. It never does this during a ride or a boat trip.
Is the time in the game the real time?
Yes. Phố Hội uses the real time of Vietnam, so mornings, evenings and events such as bài chòi or the old-town night follow the real clock.
What do the weather and floods change?
The game uses the real weather of Hội An. When the water is high, some activities such as boats, job shifts and the driving school close for a while, and ride fares may go up.
Money and items
How do I earn money in the game?
You earn in-game money by working, such as motorbike taxi or delivery shifts and fishing, and from daily check-in gifts and quests. New players start with some money.
Can I put real money into the game?
No. There is currently no way to pay with real money or buy anything with real money in Phố Hội.
Can money or items be exchanged for real money?
No. Money and items in the game are for the game only: they have no cash value and must not be bought or sold outside the game.
Can I send money to another player?
No. The game has no way to transfer money between players.
What is the in-game income tax?
Wages from job shifts are taxed in the game by monthly brackets. It is only a game rule that keeps the in-game economy balanced; it has nothing to do with real-life taxes.
Privacy
What can other people see about me?
Signed-in players see your character name, title and outfit. Your profile (lanterns floated, collection, join date, licences) is public in the game by default; you can turn it off under Privacy in the Settings. Your email is never shown to other players.
Are chat messages stored?
Yes. Messages are kept for about 30 days to fight spam and handle reports; messages that were blocked or reported are kept for up to about 180 days. Administrators can read reported messages.
Does the game track me for advertising?
No. Phố Hội has no advertising and uses no tracking cookies; the site only counts visits. The details are on the Privacy policy page.
Where is my data stored?
The game's data is stored in Singapore. The Privacy policy page says who processes it, why, for how long, and what your rights are.
How do I see or correct my data?
Send a request to the privacy address on the Contact page. We answer within the time limits of Decree 356/2025/NĐ-CP.
Technical
What do I need to play?
A modern browser with 3D graphics support (WebGL) on a phone or a computer, and a stable connection. There is nothing to install.
Can I play offline?
No. Phố Hội is always online: you need to sign in and have a connection to enter the town.
Can I add the game to my home screen?
Yes. Your browser may let you add Phố Hội to your home screen like an app, but the game still needs a connection to play.
I hear no sound on my iPhone. What can I do?
On an iPhone or iPad, sound starts only after you first touch the screen. Check the silent switch too, and the volume in the game's Settings.
Where do I report a security problem?
Send it to the security address on the Contact page, and please do not publish it before we have had time to fix it.
