Boats and river tours

The Hoài river runs along the old town. Boats leave from the piers in service, such as Bạch Đằng and An Hội.

Buying a ticket

1. Go to the ticket counter by the pier and press Buy ticket.
2. Pick a ticket:
   • River loop: the boat makes a loop on the river and brings you back to the pier you left from.
   • Basket spin: sit in a round basket boat while the rower spins it on the water.
   • Other pier: ride a boat to another pier.
3. Go to the pier and press Use ticket to board.

The Events button under the minimap has a River boats card: it shows the prices and your tickets. Tickets are sold only at the counter.

Hours

• Boats run from early morning to the evening, usually from 06:00 to 21:30, later on a festival night.
• The river closes when the water is high, and in a storm, a thunderstorm, heavy rain or strong wind.

Refunds

• While the river is closed you can return a ticket for a full refund.
• A ticket you do not use that day is refunded automatically.

Tips

• A boat ticket together with a lantern costs less, and you can float a lantern at spots along the way.
• When you watch someone in a basket boat, you can press Cheer.
• There is a daily limit on tickets and trips; night tickets cost more than day tickets.
