Festivals and games
Old-town night (Đêm phố cổ)
As in the real old town of Hội An, one night a month the streets turn off their electric lights and glow with lanterns only.
When
- On the evening of the 14th day of the lunar month, from 18:00 to 22:00 Vietnam time.
- The game announces it about ten minutes before it starts.
What happens
- The electric lights go off and lanterns light up the streets.
- You buy and float lanterns on the river. You can float more than on a normal day, and the town’s lantern goal is higher.
- Boats run later than usual.
The end-of-night gift
At the end of the night, those who took part get a gift by level: floating a lantern, and buying more lanterns, gives a higher level. The time you actually spend in town counts too.
